Perhaps installing a few hooks on the ceiling in the garage could give you space to store bikes without cluttering the floor. Or custom shelving could give you a place to keep gardening equipment. Additionally, check out the space under furniture as a place to stash bins of out-of-season clothing or household decor.
Create a Retreat
Cleaning is exhausting. One of your first steps should be to clean and organize a space you can get away from it all. Perhaps it will be the sitting room you like to go to read or your home office. Whatever it is, finish this space first and get rid of any extra clutter so you have an area to go and relax when you need a break from your other tasks.
Incorporate Organization Into Decor
Consider adding a few trendy baskets to your bedroom closet to give you space to put away bathing suits, belts, and other odds and ends. Or, maybe you’d like to install a pot rack in your kitchen to hang up some of your favorite stainless-steel cookware. Just remember that organization tools don’t have to be clunky and boring. They can actually add a decorative element to the home.
